LAGOS, PORTUGAL

Out of all the places I have been on this trip, Lagos is officially my favorite. The water is so very blue and the people speak English!! It was nice to have a break from Spanish. Before we headed to Lagos, we stopped in La Rabida, Spain where Christopher Columbus did many activities including looking for a crew by the local church, dropping off his son at the local monastery, and last but not least! filling up barrels of water before hitting the sea to discover the New World!

We visited the well and the monastery first and then headed to a museum where they have life size replicas of the three ships that Columbus was in charge of!

Monastery:

Inside the Chapel where Columbus and his crew attended a mass before heading out to sea.

I bet you can name which ship is which!

Now onto my new favorite place in the whole wide world!

Oh why hello there, very cold water that is very pretty and clear.

One of the squares in the middle of the shopping district.

Saturday morning Jenni and I headed to the beach to grab some kayaks and tour all the grottos on the coast. By far, this was my favorite thing I've done this whole trip. The water was so pretty and to see all the grottos close up and not from a boat was totally worth the sore arms the next day.

Next up on the list of things to do: parasailing!

Just hanging out with the moon, no big deal :)

I had so much fun in Lagos! If you ever get the chance to go there for a weekend, don't say no! The food is good there too which is an added bonus.

This week is my last week of class, I take my final on Wednesday. Friday we're headed to many places including Toledo and Madrid. After Madrid, I'm heading to Barcelona for a couple of days and then I'll be on my way home back to the states!
